Sobre nós · About us

A piece of
Brazil

Welcome to a culinary journey through Brazil – from the tropical flavours of Bahia and the fresh delicacies of the Amazon to the hearty classics of the south. We serve Brazilian food the way it should be: authentic, full of life, with the finest ingredients and a big helping of passion.

Luana, the owner of Baioca, comes from Itamaraju in the Brazilian state of Bahia. Her love of cooking and her warmth shape every plate – honest, down-to-earth and with a touch of Brazil, just as she knows and loves it.

If you have any questions about our dishes or would like a recommendation, just ask – we are here for you.

Enjoy & bom apetite,
Luana Santos da Silva Rochel & the Baioca team

Nossa história · Our story

Our
story

Brazil – a country full of colours, rhythms and aromas. That is exactly the feeling Baioca brings to Oldenburg in Holstein. Every visit is like a little journey – from the tropical coasts of Bahia and the mysterious forests of the Amazon to the wide plains of the south.

Brazilian cuisine thrives on contrasts: spicy and sweet, bold and light, familiar and exotic. Baioca brings it all together – with freshly prepared dishes that blend tradition and modernity. Fresh beef from Argentina, colourful sides, homemade specialities and sweet temptations create a taste experience that takes you straight to Brazil.

Behind every plate there is a story. Founder Luana, who grew up in Itamaraju in the state of Bahia, carries her homeland within her – the warmth, the joy of sharing and the passion for good food. At Baioca she turns all of that into cooking that is honest, down-to-earth and full of heart.

But Baioca is more than a place to eat. It is a meeting point for everyone looking for something special: a space full of joie de vivre, hospitality and Brazilian lightness. Here cultures meet, encounters happen, here Brazil comes alive – in the heart of Oldenburg.

Tapas do Brasil

Brazilian food is colourful, sociable and full of flavour. Many of these little tapas – actually called petiscos – come from street food: loved at beach kiosks, markets and family parties. Perfect for sharing, as a starter or to taste your way across Brazil. Hot, cold, hearty or vegetarian/vegan – as usual in Brazil, anything goes.

Nossa carne · Our beef

Picanha

We grill exclusively Black Ranch picanha & maminha – the famous picanha with its fine fat cap and the tender, lean maminha. For us the finest cuts of all.

Black Ranch® · Argentina

Premium Argentine beef – since 1987

What makes Black Ranch special: an unmistakable flavour, firm texture and fine marbling. On the endless plains of the Argentine pampas – clear water, lush grass, pure air – the cattle grow up close to nature. Driven from pasture to pasture by the gauchos all year round, with plenty of movement and pure grass feed. The result: beef with an original, powerful taste.
